World
Team Championship – unbelievable success for
the Bulgarian female team – the ladies relay have won
a victory over the 5 times European champions from Italy.
The
Bulgarian female National Team took the 6 place in the World Team Championship,
held last week in Harbin, China.The Bulgarians: Evgenia Radanova,
Marina Georgieva-Nikolova, Daniela Ivanova and Gergana Patsova reached the
second
place in the “B” final with 34 points right behind the Italians with 37.5
points and ahead
of Japan with 29.5 points and Russia with 20 points.
In the 1000m races Evgenia Radanova deserved the first place in 3 heat and
Marina Georgieva-Nikolova finished third in heat number 4.
In the 500m races Radanova was again the best in heat number 3 and she has
won
the first place with 44.663 sec.Marina Georgieva-Nikolova grabbed the
second place
in heat number 2 with 44.711 sec. Daniela Ivanova and Gergana Patsova are
fourth
respectively in heat number 4 and 1.
Radanova delivered another great performance in the 3000m final and put
down to her
account victory number 3 with time 5.25.657. Gergana Patsova finished in
eight place with
time 6.01.284. In the relay Bulgaria won the first place leaving behind
Italy, Japan and
Russia.
